ResponsibilitiesPerform daily inspections of construction activities related to:
- Concrete structures
- Asphalt paving
- Runways, taxiways, and aprons
- Roadways and highway‑related infrastructure
Verify work is performed in accordance with:
- Project plans and specifications
- FAA, MDOT, and SHA standards (as applicable)
- Quality control and safety requirements
- Document field observations, quantities, and progress through daily inspection reports
- Identify non‑conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project managers
- Monitor construction materials, placement methods, and testing procedures
- Attend project meetings and coordinate with engineers, contractors, airport staff, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with airport security, safety, and operational requirements
- Support schedule tracking and assist with project closeout documentation
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5–10 years of construction or construction inspection experience
- Strong background in concrete structure, asphalt, runways, and highways
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and inspection procedures
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in preparing clear, accurate field reports and documentation
- Effective written and oral communication skills, eagerness to learn, willingness to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player
- Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy
- OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment
- Daily on‑site presence is required, with occasional evening or weekend work during critical project phases or to meet project deadlines
- MDOT SHA experience
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Airport or airfield construction experience
