Electrical Construction Inspector
DM Enterprises seeks an experienced Electrical Construction Inspector to oversee the inspection of new, repair, and renovation electrical systems for infrastructure projects.

- Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes, and maintain accurate project records.
- Develop daily construction plans and track progress using the client’s software application tool.
- Identify construction problems and apply standard techniques and procedures to resolve them.
- Evaluate contractor schedules and pay applications, and make recommendations to project supervisor and construction manager.
- Act as the owner’s agent regarding the construction process.
- Manage the quality of work being installed and monitor progress against the construction schedule.
- Review mandatory change orders and claims, and provide recommendations.
- Read and understand contractor submittals, RFIs, and as-built drawings.
- Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to project supervisor and construction manager.
- Interface with client and contractor, working with the project supervisor/construction manager and other designees.
- Maintain detailed records of contractor performance and progress.
- Track technical submittals, shop drawing reviews, and the RFI process.
- Implement temporary maintenance of traffic (MOT) and lane closures.
- Demonstrate independent problem solving and decision making.
- Assist with compiling data for monthly reports.
- Develop construction punch lists.
- Collaborate with team members and local, state, and federal agencies.
- Experience in electrical/communication construction projects.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and techniques.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical construction testing requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with construction inspection principles and field inspection practices.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and record‑keeping requirements.
- Knowledge of road safety and traffic control management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively to meet business objectives.
- Solid oral, written, and organizational communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proven record of upholding workplace safety and complying with health, safety, and harassment policies.
- Technical degree in Electrical/Communication or related technical field.
- 5‑7 years of field inspection and construction management experience on electrical/communication projects.
- Master Electrician and/or Certified Electrical Inspector in the State of Maryland.
