A top electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on complex healthcare construction projects across the Washington, D.C. metro area. This role is responsible for day-to-day site execution, safety, quality, and schedule coordination on hospital and medical facility builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise on-site installation of electrical systems on large healthcare projects
• Direct foremen, field crews, and subcontractors to meet quality and schedule goals
• Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and logistics with GCs and trades
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local code, life safety systems, and healthcare-specific requirements
• Maintain daily field reports, site documentation, and QA/QC standards
• Lead field planning for clean/sterile areas, emergency systems, and occupied spaces
• Resolve site issues quickly and collaborate with project managers and engineers
• Support commissioning and system turnover in coordination with hospital staff and third parties.

Required

Skills & Experience:

• 8–10+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3+ years on healthcare projects
• Deep knowledge of emergency power, med gas interfacing, and life safety system installations
• Proven ability to lead large field teams on complex, schedule-driven builds
• Strong communication skills and experience coordinating in active medical environments
• Familiarity with AHJ, hospital inspection processes, and clean area protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license (D.C., MD, or VA preferred)
• OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and daily field tracking tools
• Successful delivery of hospital renovations, expansions, and ground-up builds
