Senior Transportation Construction Inspector

In this role, you will:

• Conduct and document observations of construction progress on civil projects such as roads, bridges, transit, and environmental projects.
• Collaborate with Inspectors, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
• Mentor junior staff and provide supervision as needed.
• Serve as the senior inspector on projects.
• Interpret construction plans, shop drawings, and specifications, and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain project documentation and perform routine material testing.
• Ensure quality control and contract compliance.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical school, associate, or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle report.
• All required client certifications.
• Proficiency with project management software like Plan Grid, Site Manager, AWP.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules and Primavera P6 experience.
• Local candidates preferred.

This position is subject to a background check and pre-employment drug testing. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, at least 5 years of experience, proficiency in MS Office, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
