Quality Control Manager – Federal Projects
Salary: $100,000–$140,000 + Benefits

We’re representing a reputable local General Contractor based in Washington DC that is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to join their team for a federal construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established GC known for its consistent track record in delivering high‑quality federal and government projects.
Position OverviewThe Quality Control Manager will oversee and manage all quality assurance and control activities on‑site to ensure compliance with federal standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of federal construction protocols and be comfortable working closely with project management, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure work is executed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and manage the project’s Quality Control Plan in accordance with federal guidelines.
- Conduct and document preparatory, initial, and follow‑up inspections.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Interface directly with client representatives and government inspectors.
- Review and maintain submittals, test results, and all QA/QC documentation.
- Identify and resolve quality issues in the field proactively.
- CQM (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) Certification – required
- OSHA 30 Certification – required
- 10 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager on federal government construction projects
- Strong knowledge of federal specifications, processes, and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
- Competitive salary ranging from $100,000–$140,000 (based on experience)
