The Family Advocate I provides direct services in the center and in the home to help families access resources (e.g., housing, transportation, education, employment, etc.).

• Screen children and families to assess barriers to success in reaching individual and family goals.
• Link children and families to resources and services that will help them overcome identified barriers.
• Provide family education and support services as needed.
• Assist families to gain increased empowerment in utilizing resources and activities to address family goals, with an emphasis on self‑sufficiency.
• Maintain complete and current records on all families, including progress toward goals.
• Facilitate parent/child activities when applicable by selecting and applying the appropriate tools and curriculum.
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers, Social Workers, and families to ensure continuity of services.
• Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings and trainings.

• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• Must hold and maintain CPR certification.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum: USD $36,955.98 / Yr.
Maximum: USD $60,296.50 / Yr.
