Job Responsibilities- Provide project management/administrative support and coordination to a complex contract, project, task(s) or business unit
- Provide support to Project Managers in the preparation and analysis of project financial data and other contract, project or business-related tasks.
- Duties may include contract accounting and reporting, project schedule focus to management, tracking annual fiscal plans and monthly updates
- Maintain contract budgets, prepares contract-billing (e.g., Wide Area Workflow ‘WAWF’), estimates materials, equipment, production costs and delivery schedules
- Implement and provide financial controls, procedures, system requirements, and forecasting techniques, as directed, to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements
- Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met
- Prepare financial/administrative reports and distributes to customers/user organizations
- Conduct financial analysis at varying levels – inclusive of individual programs and the business units they belong to (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.)
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in US Government project related finance using financial management software (Deltek, Business Central, Quick Books, SAP, ORACLE ERP, Peachtree/Sage 50 Accounting, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
- Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP, FAR, CAS)
- Working knowledge in government contract types (T&M, CPFF, FFP) and ability to properly account for each type of contract, including a working knowledge of revenue recognition for each contract type.
- Must be well-experienced with Microsoft Excel and have familiarity with MS Project.
- Ability to relate to all levels of the organizations
- Self-motivator, independent, organized, cooperative, flexible, creative
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management is not required, but desired
