The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Howard University Center of Excellence Project (HU-CoE).
Supervisory AccountabilityNo responsibility to supervise others.
Nature And ScopeInternal contacts include faculty and staff of the University. Minimal interaction with external partners.
Principal Accountabilities- Coordinate administrative activities for the successful implementation of the project
- Support the coordination of administrative activities for the successful implementation of the project
- Coordinate distance-based technology for the project office
- Assist with scheduling meetings, develop agendas, edit documents, and prepare minutes
- Monitor the project’s website
- Create, develop, and maintain listserv
- Support marketing functions of the project’s partners
- Assist with monitoring and conduct weekly CQI of the project’s website
- Assist with research, data collection and maintenance of project’s database
- Manage reports and records of the project
Report updates verbally and in written form to management - Additional tasks as assigned as warranted
- Strong research skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Ability to multitask with keen attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to efficiently utilize social media applications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field which may include public health, education, business, IT. Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
