This role will also be central to expanding Rovjok’s presence in the United States, working with government and industry stakeholders to help develop our critical-minerals strategy, procurement, and supply-chain resilience.

We are seeking a highly experienced mining and metals professional to manage and grow our North American business. This role is pivotal to the expansion of our analytics and research capabilities and our growth in the U.S. market, and it is designed for an expert who excels at building out commodity coverage and developing client relationships across government and industry.

As a key senior member of our team, not only will have a significant impact on the quality and strategic direction of our research, but you will also help us shape and execute our U.S. expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mining & Metals Lead (North America), you will be expected to:

  • Lead market analysis and consulting engagements: Act as the subject matter expert on bespoke consulting projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, actionable advice that meets client needs.
  • Lead the build-out and ongoing management of market analysis and forecasts across a portfolio of strategic and critical minerals, covering supply, demand, and price dynamics.
  • Serve as the primary client contact on consulting projects, building trusted advisor relationships and presenting key findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Travel for conferences and client meetings. This will include regular U.S. client engagement.
  • Develop core research & thought leadership: Author insightful reports, market studies, and articles that showcase your expertise and reinforce Rovjok's position as an expert voice in the industry.
  • Perform rigorous first-principles analysis on opaque mineral markets, developing robust datasets and forecast models.
  • Innovate and shape our analytical approach: Introduce advanced research methods, new data sources, and analytical tools to continuously improve the quality and impact of our work.
  • Contribute ideas on new research products and areas of coverage to help direct the company's future growth.
  • Build U.S. client development and delivery: Develop and manage a pipeline of U.S. opportunities across federal/state agencies and industry (e.g., defence primes, aerospace, automotive, energy, advanced manufacturing).
  • Translate client problems into scoped, deliverable projects; lead proposals, statements of work, and delivery plans.
  • Navigate U.S. public-sector buying processes and teaming (e.g., partnerships with primes, subcontracting, frameworks/IDIQs where relevant), working closely with Rovjok leadership.
  • Represent Rovjok at U.S. conferences and stakeholder forums to build brand and relationships.

The Ideal Candidate Profile
  • A deep commodity expert: You possess deep subject matter expertise in critical mineral markets (5+ years) and have a proven track record of building out commodity coverage from first principles.
  • Highly independent: You are a self-starter who thrives in a setting that offers a high degree of autonomy and the flexibility to work remotely.
  • An innovator: You are driven to find better ways to analyse markets and are excited by the chance to build new analytical approaches from the ground up.
  • A clear communicator: You can explain complex market dynamics with clarity and confidence, both in writing and in presentations to senior leaders.
  • Well-connected: You are established within the metals and mining intelligence community, with a strong professional network for primary research and intelligence gathering.
  • U.S. citizenship and location in the U.S. is a must. Direct experience working with U.S. government and/or regulated industry clients (e.g., defence, aerospace, energy, automotive) is strongly preferred. Washington D.C or East Coast is a plus.
