Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
JE Import is looking to expand our team. We are currently looking for a full-time flat-rate automotive technician to join our service and performance center. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in general automotive repair and diagnostics.

• Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business
• Perform routine maintenance, as needed, like checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and oil changes
• Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships
• Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process
• Examine all vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission, and brake systems with a step-by-step approach
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical expertise to identify and determine the source of problems with vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance and courtesy inspections on customer vehicles
• Perform general repair and performance upgrades to all vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with managers and service advisors regarding diagnostics, inspections, and estimates for repairs
Qualifications:
• Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred
• GED or high school diploma is mandatory
• Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive service and repair
• Must supply the tools required to perform normal automotive repair tasks
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory Compensation: $25 - $40 hourly
