Position: Exam/Administrative Coordinator/ SDS DC/Professional Hub (Students Disability Services)

We are seeking an Exam/Administrative Coordinator/ SDS DC/Professional Hub who will provide exam coordination and administrative support for SDS DC/Professional Hub. The position reports to the Director of Student Disability Services of the DC Professional Hub, at The Bloomberg Center, 555 Pennsylvania Ave, NW. Washington DC. The position will manage exam accommodations and provide administrative support for the entire DC/Professional Hub.

The position will also provide backup coverage for the U‑Wide SDS Admin Exam Coordinators as needed.

This position works closely with students, faculty, and campus partners to arrange and oversee accommodations for testing and note‑taking for students with disabilities. The position collaborates closely with students, faculty, and campus partners to ensure these services are implemented and run smoothly. The position oversees key administrative functions, including daily SDS database workflows, data management, report generation, and supply procurement. This position is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising exam proctors and overseeing the Test Center's daily workflow.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively and maintain positive, courteous, supportive, and professional working relationships with all levels of contacts.
  • Contribute to the customer service‑oriented atmosphere within the department and help with other functional areas when needed or requested.
  • Assist with database maintenance and suggest modifications to enhance workflow.
  • Answer the SDS DC Hub Teams phone, maintain the testing inbox and calendar for the DC Hub.
  • Manage the exam accommodations module in the SDS online data management platform.
  • Send out reminders to professors and students about upcoming exams.
  • Work with professors to have Alternate Testing Contracts filled out in a timely manner.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise exam proctors.
  • Confirm and track communication with students, faculty, Teaching Assistants, staff, and proctors.
  • Print copies of exams, safely store and catalogue exams to prepare for administering.
  • Compose, edit, type, and distribute various form letters and correspondences; create and maintain necessary files.
  • Request supply orders necessary to perform duties.
  • Keep an inventory of necessary office supplies to replenish.
  • Perform tasks with a significant degree of independence, requiring knowledge of university resources and facilities.
  • Perform administrative tasks, special projects, ad hoc reports, research data, and other related activities.
  • Develop and maintain information to generate reports, tables, charts, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and exam rooms; type routine and specialized correspondence as well as reports; answer telephone, screen callers, and relay detailed messages.
  • Willingness and flexibility to take on other duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must be able to work efficiently, effectively, and professionally in a fast‑paced environment while interacting with senior‑level executives and officials.
  • This role requires maintaining professional relationships with a wide range of contacts, including faculty, and demonstrating a strong interest in supporting graduate‑level students with disabilities.
  • The position requires the ability to prioritize requests, independently resolve scheduling conflicts, and manage detailed logistics for exam accommodations.
  • Past Test Center experience is preferred, and accommodation logistics.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of administrative/academic‑related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Test Center experience.
