Office Administrator/ Coordinator
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing correspondence for the department and scheduling meetings for the Medical Director. They act independently to perform and oversee functions that provide administrative support to various departments, establishing cooperative relationships with staff, physicians, and administration to facilitate timely, high-quality work completion. The role also involves creating a positive office image by responding professionally to patients, staff, and customers, as well as managing basic office operations to support the daily flow of the practice.
ResponsibilitiesThe Administrative Assistant supports the Medical Director's operations by managing calendars, professional correspondence, and messages; ordering supplies; handling facilities requests; answering telephones courteously; drafting responses; preparing invoice payments; opening and reviewing mail; and preparing for meetings, including ordering lunches, stocking drinks, and operating AV/Web Ex equipment.
RequirementsEducation and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience, preferably in a medical office setting

- Certification Requirements: CPR (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; experience with Meditech, Epic, Performance Manager/Net Learning
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, tactfulness, flexibility, personal integrity, and teamwork ability
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
