Position: Title Assistant
Contract: ASAP Start - 7/17/2026
Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Monday - Friday;
Business Shift
Pay Rate: $22.58/HR, Paid Weekly
Position SummaryProvides administrative and clerical support to ensure timely closings and accurate title recordings. Responsible for opening and maintaining title files, as well as preparing title commitments, policies, endorsements, and related supplemental documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate title searches for commercial transactions in accordance with local regulations and corporate standards.
- Analyze public records, including liens, judgments, easements, surveys, and tax reports, to determine ownership, identify legal restrictions, and verify the accuracy and completeness of property descriptions.
- Prepare and issue title commitments, policies, endorsements, and guarantees following established title practices.
- Audit legal documents and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Interpret and execute instructions from customers and Title Officers.
- Provide professional and responsive customer service to clients and field escrow offices.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Minimum of 2 years of title industry experience (commercial title experience preferred).
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Working Conditions- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Use of computers and technology.
