Position OverviewVigilantics is seeking an Administrative & Fiscal Support Consultant to support a Maryland state education agency on a full‑time, long‑term engagement
. This role provides essential administrative, fiscal, and program support to agency leadership and staff.
- Location: Baltimore, MD
- Work Model: Hybrid — 2 days per week onsite (Tuesdays required); remaining days remote
- Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Hourly Rate: $20/hour
- Schedule: Full‑time (40 hours per week)
- Provide administrative, clerical, and fiscal support to program leadership and staff
- Support procurement, invoicing, and documentation processes
- Maintain and update tracking tools, spreadsheets, and databases (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet)
- Assist with scheduling, document preparation, reporting, and correspondence
- Support grant‑related tracking, documentation, and coordination activities
- Handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and accuracy
- Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative support, program support, or fiscal support
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Smartsheet experience preferred - Experience supporting government, education, or grant‑funded programs strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a hybrid environment
- Must reside in Baltimore, MD or be immediately local
- Must be able to work onsite in Baltimore at least two days per week
- Must be eligible to work as a 1099 independent contractor
