Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a Contract to permanent position. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex financial processes effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in cash applications, billing, and collections.

- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

- Collaborate with team members to distribute payments.

- Support general accounting tasks, such as credit card reconciliations and bookkeeping.

- Utilize Excel and accounting software to streamline financial processes and reporting.

- Identify and implement improvements in accounts receivable workflows.

- Communicate effectively with companies to address payment-related issues.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on accounts receivable.

- Proficiency in bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage complex financial processes.

- Experience with Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

- Stable work history with evidence of career growth.
