Presently we have an opportunity for a self‑motivated, conscientious Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, well organized and have a solid background in accounting principles and relevant business experience.

• Upload positive pay items and respond to any exceptions
• Record document all components of weekly payroll
• Act as back‑up for payroll calculations and processing as needed
• Prepare all monthly journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts
• Assist and guide AP and AR with unusual transactions
• Research and process annual vendor 1099’s as necessary
• Create update various spreadsheets to assist in month‑end close
• All other duties as assigned by the Controller

• Proficiency using MS Office applications, including intermediate level Excel skills
• Results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Professionalism, including diplomacy, discretion and a positive attitude
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Excellent numeric aptitude and a high level of concentration
• Initiative and ability to multi‑task work independently with little supervision
• Detail and deadline oriented

• Minimum 1 year of business accounting experience in a small business environment
• Minimum Associates degree in accounting required
• Experience with Sage 100 software a plus
