Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
Assignment Type: 3+ month temporary role
Work Environment: On-site Baltimore
Position OverviewA Fiscal Technician II is needed to support accounting and reconciliation functions within a fast-paced office environment. This role focuses on accurate data entry, processing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Enter wage payments and refunds into FMIS and maintain accurate tracking in Google Sheets.
- Audit and enter employee reimbursement expense vouchers in accordance with DBM and Labor policies.
- Perform data reconciliation and ensure accuracy across financial records and systems.
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Forms)
- Experience with Adobe Pro (advanced tools)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with FMIS or other accounting systems is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate required.
- At least one year of experience reconciling agency accounting systems to fiscal control systems or developing automated spreadsheets, ledgers, or reports using accounting principles.
