We’re partnering with a growing retail automotive organization with multiple operating entities and a high-volume, transaction-driven environment. This Senior Accountant opportunity sits in a hands-on accounting function supporting day-to-day activity that keeps the business moving—vendor payments, cash activity, reconciliations, and month-end entries.

• Own full-cycle accounts payable, including PO matching, vouchering, reconciling to vendor statements, and disbursements (including printing/mailing checks).
• Support month-end by preparing journal entries and assisting with close activities.
• Manage auction-related accounting tasks, including prep work (locating titles/lien releases) and follow-up (posting payments and sales).
• Maintain vendor records and documentation (W-9s, credit applications, and related items).
• Post and apply customer receipts, ensuring clean, timely cash application.
• Prepare bank deposits and reconcile activity to the general ledger.
• Post and reconcile daily credit card batches.
• Assist with tag and title support as needed.
• Step in on additional accounting tasks as priorities shift—this is a role with variety and real operational exposure.

You’re detail-oriented by default, but you’re not rigid—you can prioritize, pivot, and still keep things accurate. You communicate clearly, stay organized, and don’t let small discrepancies linger. When something doesn’t tie out, you dig in, recommend a fix, and follow it through.

You’re also comfortable in a fast-moving environment where the work is tangible and deadlines are real. You bring a steady presence, a strong work ethic, and the kind of reliability teams count on.

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Takes initiative and recommends actions to resolve discrepancies; works well with minimal direction.
