Senior Property Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing the full‑cycle accounting of a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong collaboration with property management and asset management teams.

• Manage full‑cycle property accounting for assigned portfolio
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee CAM, operating expense, and real estate tax reconciliations
• Review lease abstracts and ensure accurate rent billing and revenue recognition
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analyses
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Coordinate with auditors and support year‑end audits
• Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of property accounting experience (commercial or residential)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and property management accounting practices
• Experience with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, App Folio, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines independently
