• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform and oversee complex account reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, balance sheet, and AP/AR.
• Review and approve payroll postings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Evaluate and improve accounting workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and internal control frameworks.
• Implement process automation and system enhancements to reduce manual work and increase operational transparency.
• Direct year‑end payroll reporting processes, including preparation, review, and distribution of W‑2 and 1099 forms.
• Monitor financial data, labor costs, and benefits expenses to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and operational leaders to align payroll, benefits, and workforce data with organizational objectives.
• Supervise, coach, and develop payroll and accounting staff, fostering operational excellence and continuous professional growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with payroll processes or payroll oversight responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency with ERP and payroll systems; advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
