PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT - HYBRID - 75K-85K About The CompanyOur client, a well‑known, privately‑held real estate development company in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to work for a stable, well‑established, and expanding organization. As a Property Accountant
, you will play a key role in the Accounting department, reporting directly to the Controller and collaborating closely with the Chief Accounting Officer. You’ll manage day‑to‑day accounting for a dedicated commercial real‑estate portfolio while receiving excellent training and professional development.

- BS/BA degree preferred
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Real estate accounting experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Yardi experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication
- Post journal entries, including corrections and adjustments
- Complete month‑end close and prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain schedules in Excel and assist with monthly reporting
- Support year‑end audit preparation
- Ensure accurate A/P coding for select properties
- Assist with operating and capital budgets
- Collaborate with Asset Managers on variance analysis
- Abstract lease data and input into property management software
- Process tenant charges, monthly rents, and payments
- Track and reconcile Gross Sales and Percentage Rents
- Perform annual Real Estate Tax and CAM reconciliations
- Provide exceptional service to tenants, clients, and internal stakeholders
