About the PositionJOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial transactions within the company’s accounting department. In this role you will be responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as general office administration. This position will include hands‑on training and presents opportunities for advancement in a fast‑growing company.

- Accounts Payable:
- Indicating materials as received in the system once the materials have been delivered from the manufacturer.
- Processing invoices from our suppliers.
- Checking order confirmations for accuracy and communicating with suppliers regarding pricing discrepancies or to expedite orders if necessary.
- Processing timely payments to suppliers.
- Reconciling and processing credit card payments.
- Reporting sales tax.
- Handling questions or concerns from suppliers as they arise.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Creating monthly invoices to contractors using the industry‑specific AIA progress billing method.
- Communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices on a periodic basis.
- Depositing and recording customer payments.
- Entering the monthly invoices into Comsense (company’s software).
- Handling billing questions or concerns from contractors as they arise.
- Reconciling all bank accounts
- Creating monthly reports for financial records
- General office administration:
- Reception duties such as directing phone calls and greeting clients
- Scanning and filing
- Assisting the estimating team with logging and filing potential bids
- Strong work ethic and drive to learn
- Positive, can‑do attitude
- Proactive workstyle; ability to take initiative and assume responsibility
- Organized and detail‑oriented
- Computer proficiency including Excel and Word
- Ability to interact with co‑workers, external contacts, and customers in a pleasant, professional, and effective manner both verbally and in email communications
- Ability to multi‑task and quickly adjust priorities
