Transport Planner

VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Transport Planner for a major company that specialises in Global Logistics.

This is a Full-time position - Night shift hours

Permanent position
- Position of work is Ballymena

Salary:

• Plan load activity based on priorities (orders, location, etc.)
• Monitor customer requests, allocate jobs, and issue instructions
• Keep up to date with transport issues and adjust schedules as needed
• Communicate fleet availability and updates to the wider team
• Liaise with drivers and colleagues to ensure timely collections and deliveries
• Pre-brief and de-brief drivers on nightly runs
• Record collection/delivery statuses and elevate discrepancies appropriately
• Troubleshoot transport-related issues in real-time

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Exceptional attention to detail with excellent administrative abilities
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent time management and workload prioritisation
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is an advantage not essential
