Vehicle Installation Electrician

Location:

Ballymena, Northern Ireland

Duration: 4-8 weeks (may be extended)

Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour (umbrella)

• Monday to Thursday
• 07:00 to 17:00

We are currently recruiting for a number of Vehicle Installation Electricians for an ongoing contract based in Ballymena.

• Ensure work carried out is to the company agreed quality standard and that all quality sign offs and procedures are complied with.
• Install vehicle electrical control systems to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
• Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
• Terminate various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
• Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
• Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
• Ensure the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
• Prepare to work overtime when requested by management.
• Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes, including training of others.
• Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
• Maintain high standards of personal accountability.
• Staying away from home on occasions will be necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
• Complete basic administrative tasks, filling in company forms or documents, WMPs.

• Experience installing and testing chassis and body electrical control systems in line with customer specifications.
• Ability to install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components and terminate high voltage connections.
• Experience fault finding and repairing electrical systems with diagnostic software.
• Ability to work to ISO 9001 quality requirements and to allocated process times.
• Willingness to work overtime and stay away from home when required.
