Merchandise Manager

Overview

We are working with an established women's, men's, and children's clothing supplier to high street brands and volume retailers who due to expansion are looking for a Wholesale Merchandise Manager for their team.

This role requires an individual who has a strong supplier background. Knowledge of Far East Factory base is essential;
Bangladesh knowledge is highly advantageous in addition to superb customer facing relationships and the ability to lead and motivate a team and command authority when dealing with Senior level management.

You will also be managing a small team and assisting the MD in all aspects of running the office.

To be considered for this role you will need to be a confident people person with a strong merchandising supplier background.

Main responsibilities will include:

• To be the main point of contact with customers on stock flow, factory capacities & orders.
• Daily communication with sourcing offices, mills & factories to gather relevant information and ensure all points are then actioned and executed directly.
• Ensure critical paths are adhered to & communicated to customers in an emotionally intelligent way.
• Ensure account managers/designers correctly fulfill, and are not over promising and under delivering on the commitments we make to our customers.
• Advising the Account Managers for booking deadlines based on customer sign off dates.
• Ensuring customers are informed promptly of all updates.
• Meeting customers regularly when needed.
• Being on top of the critical path and all developments.
