Customer Delivery Driver - Ballymena Superstore | Tesco, Ballymena, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

Join Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver delivering to customers’ homes, with a focus on friendly service and a positive experience for every customer.

• Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by ensuring the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
• Leaving the customer’s back yard clean, tidy, and clear of rubbish, and picking up litter as you see it.
• Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
• Loading the van as required and checking the van for roadworthiness.
• Discussing any changes to customer orders (including substitutions) with the customer and offering refunds for items they are unhappy with.
• Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
• Explaining substitutions to customers and ensuring they are not charged more than agreed.
• Delivering during the customer’s time slot and calling the customer before arriving if you are early.
• Calling the store/centre if you are running 30 minutes or more late.

• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and support a great store environment for customers.
• Warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand their needs.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
• Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work life.
• Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.
• A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
