VANRATH are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a growing engineering firm to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team. • Process weekly/monthly payroll, including timesheet reconciliation and liaison with external payroll providers
• Support month‑end close, including basic balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Maintain the purchase ledger, accurately posting supplier and subcontractor invoices
• Match invoices to purchase orders, job codes, and cost centres, resolving discrepancies with suppliers
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate supplier master data
• Assist with financial reporting, ad‑hoc analysis, and audit support as required
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and data confidentiality standards
• Provide flexible support to the finance team during peak periods and deadlines

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
• Confident working with accounting systems and MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
• A proactive team player with a positive attitude
