We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Manager to oversee our companies’ commercial operations, drive revenue growth, and manage key client and partner relationships. Responsibilities- Management of high profile external commercial accounts.
- Drive sites to deliver quality and quantity as agreed with customers.
- Ensure all accounts have agreed payment terms and credit limits by completing relevant, up-to‑date customer account forms before any sale/purchase and monitoring compliance.
- Provide commercial input and liaise across divisional lines (Sausage/Bacon/cooked meats).
- Complete all relevant trading data, records and files as required by the company accurately and on time.
- Attend group/divisional trading/planning and financial meetings as required.
- Provide site operational managers with commercial information and encourage, by continued presence on the factory floor, options for ‘Best Commercial Return’ for products produced.
- Visit customers/suppliers to develop increased value/quality/relationships.
- Support the Head of Sales & Procurement in delivering group financial budget and trading strategy.
- Support in delivering site financial budget.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with group/site planning functions to enable Best Commercial Returns.
- Undertake any ad‑hoc duties required to benefit the business.
- Investigate discrepancies and produce verbal/written reports as requested.
- Manage site cold store stocks within group financial and technical requirements.
- Act in the best interests of Cranswick PLC.
- Deliver on agreed KPI’s.
- Previous experience within a meat processing business is highly desirable.
- Possesses strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Flexible with travel to customers and internal business units.
- 39 hours Monday to Friday (08:30‑16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 15:30 on a Friday).
