Dennison Commercials Ltd is the sole Volvo Truck & Bus dealer and the leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in Northern Ireland. Our business offers and used Volvo truck and bus sales, rental trucks and all aftermarket services, including all aspects of service, repair and parts provision. Encompassing Dennison JCB, we are also the official JCB dealer for construction, industrial and access equipment and generators in Northern Ireland and Donegal.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will join an existing accounts team of 10 staff based at our Headquarters in Ballyclare.
This is a full-time, office based, position working 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm) with flexibility required to meet deadlines as applicable.
As a key member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will work as a trusted, commercially minded finance business partner, with a collaborative approach to develop financial plans, monitor performance and deliver profitability improvements.

About the roleKey
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of the finance function and day-to-day finance operations
- Ensure robust internal controls are reviewed and updated to ensure regulatory compliance, excellent governance and audit readiness for all entities within the Group
- Manage debt, working capital and risk exposure providing insightful analysis to support performance
- Manage liquidity and treasury across the group, including further development of cashflow forecasting to enhance visibility and aid strategic planning
- Enhance management information to deliver timely, accurate and relevant reporting to aid decision making
- Support the FD on strategic projects as well as system and process improvements
- Drive effective use of management information systems, including system enhancements and potential new implementations
- Actively manage, develop and motivate the finance team
- Ad hoc duties commensurate with the position
About the companyFamily-run business, Dennison Commercialshas been serving the transport industry for over 50 years. As well as being one of the longest established Volvo Truck & Bus dealers in the UK and Ireland, Dennisons is also the appointed JCB dealer in Northern Ireland & Donegal for JCB construction, industrial, and access equipment.
The Dennison Group has depots based in Ballyclare, Newry, Dungannon, and Coleraine. We also have a Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop located in Ballyclare and our JCB dealership is located in Templepatrick.
Required Criteria- - Be fully qualified (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years post qualification experience in a fast-paced business environment
- - Previous demonstrable experience of day-to-day management of finance operations
- - A proven track record in group level financial control, including consolidations and intercompany transactions
- - Advanced financial reporting and month end close experience with tight deadlines
- - Previous experience of managing and developing a finance team
- - Previous involvement in strategic projects from a finance perspective
- - Possess excellent general IT skills and experience of using accounts packages
- - Advanced level experience of Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting
- - Possess strong analytical skills
- - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data effectively
- - A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to challenge and support operational managers
- Excellent communication skills and be able to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
- The ability to design and improve financial controls across multiple sites
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-moving, operationally demanding environment
- A proactive and hands-on approach, comfortable working with individuals at all levels of the business
