Position Overview

MB Companies is seeking a Recycling Technician / Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) to support daily recycling and warehouse/yard operations at our Headquarters facility. This role combines hands‑on labor with the operation of heavy equipment to safely and efficiently process inbound and outbound materials.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in an active industrial environment.

• Sort, stage, and process recyclable materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Support baler operations as directed.
• Operate heavy equipment such as material handlers, wheel loaders, forklifts, and excavators (as qualified).
• Perform pre‑shift inspections and basic daily equipment checks.
• Report mechanical or safety issues promptly.

• Move materials efficiently
• Support inbound and outbound material coordination.
• Assist supervisors with special projects and operational needs.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.

• Heavy equipment operating experience required for HEO designation including material handlers, wheel loaders, excavators, forklift, etc.
• Prior experience in recycling, scrap, construction, demolition, or industrial labor preferred.
• Forklift certification a plus (or ability to obtain).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple aspects of warehouse/yard operations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
