The Regional CT/MR Manager is responsible for operational oversight, quality assurance, technical staff supervision and development, monitoring, reporting and auditing technical operations across multiple assigned outpatient imaging centers. This role combines leadership in general CT and MR services with the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a regional CT and MR programs and involves collaborating with the leadership team overseeing locations including but not limited to Site Managers to ensure the highest quality of patient care and image quality.
The Regional CT/MR Manager will oversee technical staff, equipment performance, maintain safety and constant readiness standards, act as a collaborative partner with Quality to deliver safe, quality imaging services at all times and actively participate in surveys, inspections and accreditation processes. Along with Quality, this role will lead the creation, implementation and ongoing refinement of regional CT/MR programs, including protocol standardization and quality monitoring.
They will foster an environment of education and support for technical staff to expand skill sets and ensure compliance. Additionally, the Regional CT/MR Manager will oversee supply ordering, manage supply costs in a fiscally responsible manner, and work with the Site Manager to ensure appropriate staff: volume ratios are maintained weekly to drive profitability s role will conduct annual technical staff evaluations, interview candidates for vacant roles, and along with HR, conduct employee disciplinary actions and terminations.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a Regional CT/MR Manager, the position adds responsibilities in quality assurance and clinic liaison. The Regional CT/MR Manager must recognize that these three functions are intertwined.
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services efficiently and professionally, ensuring confidentiality and personalized attention. Regional CT/MR Managers may actively scan 20% to 25% of weekly scheduled hours; however, administrative time is a function of the role.
- Maintain high visibility across assigned sites and lead MR and CT technologists through coaching, performance management, clinical assessments, annual evaluations, and professional development. Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, corrective action, and terminations in partnership with HR. Maintain strong relationships with radiologists, site leadership, vendors, and referring providers.
- Oversee modality safety, equipment performance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Partner with Quality to maintain accreditation readiness, support inspections and surveys, investigate incidents, manage service downtime, and ensure appropriate documentation and corrective actions.
- Lead MR and CT protocol governance in collaboration with radiologists and clinical leadership. Ensure protocol standardization, scan optimization, image quality monitoring, and adherence to safety standards (including MRI safety). Support development and ongoing refinement of advanced CT and MRI programs.
- Participate in daily site leader huddles and conduct regular modality huddles. Host at least quarterly modality meetings focused on education, policy updates, volume and performance review, patient experience, and culture. Partner with Operations on staffing models, scheduling, and forecasting to maintain appropriate staff‑to‑volume ratios and drive financial performance.

- Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- ARRT(MR) and ARRT(CT) (or ARMRIT for MR, where applicable)
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred based on site needs)
- Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
- 3–5+ years of progressive experience in MR and/or CT, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of MR safety, CT dose management, and modality‑specific regulatory requirements
