Healthcare Staffing Professionals Inc. (HSP) A Trueblue Company has an immediate need for a Senior Environmental Specialist to support the Land Use Program. The position starts immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 3/26/26 with a good chance of extension.

$52.28/hr working 40 hours a week

Office work based in Baldwin Park, CA and field work conducting site visits

• Conduct site visits for setback verification.
• Perform septic tank leak tests and final start-up inspections.
• Review septic system evaluation reports and determine the functionality of the entire system.
• Read and interpret floor/site plans and topography.
• Review feasibility reports and determine the accuracy of the testing, calculations, and proposed septic systems.
• Understand Los Angeles County OWTS Guidelines, LAMP, Title 11 Health and Safety, and Plumbing Codes.
• Track projects and approval workflows.
• Use GIS-NET3 for project assessments and GIS-NET and EPIC-LA to obtain related information about the property.
• Enter data and track projects in the Environmental Health database.
• Answer public inquiries on environmental health projects.
• Handle counter coverage and assist with applications.
• Understand inspection timelines and regulatory processes.

• Two years' experience as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist for a health department.
• Certificate as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist issued by the California State Department of Health Services. Environmental Health Specialists II engaged in dairy and milk products inspection also must be Registered Dairy Inspectors by the Department of Food and Agriculture, State of California.
• A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out job-related essential functions.
