Foreman Gas Distribution - Balch Springs, TX

Position Summary:

The Foreman must have knowledge of fusing poly pipe, poly pipe installation, meter installation, and operating equipment such as mini excavators and backhoes. Qualified Atmos OQs are a plus. A minimum of 2 years of experience in gas distribution is required.

Job Description:

Perform tasks related to gas operations and supervise crew activities. Coordinate and inspect work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards and legal requirements. Complete timesheets and check safety equipment daily. Act as a company representative, communicating effectively with customers, inspectors, and superintendents.

Determine construction sequences based on prints, drawings, and maps. Direct crew in maintenance, construction, and operational tasks. Use tools and machinery such as power drills, grinders, saws, fusion equipment, and water spraying equipment. Ability to independently manage projects and recognize abnormal operating conditions. Comply with OSHA safety regulations.

Having a CDL is a plus but not mandatory.

Education & Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training in a trade is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in gas contracting, inside or outside.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of gas lines and operating heavy equipment like excavators and backhoes.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and understand shoring installation.
• Use of company phone/tablet.
• Ability to make decisions in emergencies.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• OQs Certification.
