The Salesforce Developer/Engineer will play a critical role in the success of Valley Strong's mission‑critical Salesforce platform. As an integral part of the credit union’s Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE), the developer will work closely with COE leadership to implement, deliver and support complex business solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.

The ideal candidate has significant Salesforce technical experience and related ecosystem knowledge. The candidate will utilize their Salesforce development and engineering expertise to drive innovation at Valley Strong Credit Union to simplify, transform and grow Valley Strong.
Qualified candidates must have proven experience in Apex, Flows, Lightning (Aura and LWC), Sales and Service Cloud and be well versed in standard software development best practices. Experience with Omni Studio, Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud is preferred.
Essential DutiesKey Responsibilities
- Build scalable solutions using LWC, Apex, and Flows; optimize for governor limits and performance.
- Design, configure, and implement solutions leveraging Omni Studio tools and Financial Services Cloud features to meet business requirements and enhance customer experiences.
- Implement Omni‑Channel for Chat/SMS, Digital Engagement, and Genesys Cloud CTI integration.
- Design and maintain integrations with middleware systems like Mule Soft and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and event‑driven patterns.
- Apply Salesforce Shield (Platform Encryption, Event Monitoring, Field Audit Trail) and enforce secure development practices.
- Use Git, VS Code, SFDX, and CI/CD pipelines for deployments; maintain documentation and version control standards.
- Write robust unit tests (Apex, LWC Jest), conduct peer reviews, and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
- Partner with stakeholders to refine backlog, mentor admins, and proactively identify improvements and automation opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong experience with LWC, Apex, Flows, and Omni Studio components.
- Hands‑on with FSC, Omni‑Channel, Digital Engagement, and CTI integrations.
- Integration expertise with Mule Soft or similar API‑led patterns.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, Scheduler, and data security principles.
- Proficiency in Git, SFDX, and CI/CD processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a small team environment.
- Certifications:
Platform Developer I (required), Developer II, Omni Studio Developer, FSC Accredited Professional. - Experience with Gearset/Git Hub/Azure Dev Ops or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with Agile methodology, Jira, Confluence, or other Agile development tools.
- Additional experience with JavaScript, Web Services, REST and SOAP APIs.
- Follow coding standards and Dev Ops best practices.
- Take initiative – own features from design to production.
- Share knowledge and mentor teammates when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
