• Read and write English; interact with general public and co‑workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Effectively present information in one‑to‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
• Write simple correspondence

The part‑time Retail Associate performs management‑assigned duties, which may include stocking and maintaining a store section, carrying out services and store cleaning. Job responsibilities include:

• Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment)
• Assure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes to validate proper rotation, and stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed
• Set up advertising/promotional displays
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed by store management
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information
• Load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles when requested
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools
