Job Description

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
- Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of shopping cart for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
- Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
- Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
- Adhere to food safety regulations, inspect equipment, and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and guidelines.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Retail experience preferred but not necessary
