Veterinary Assistant Supervisor

VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced veterinary assistant to join our growing Supervisor team full-time! We are looking for Day and/or Evening Supervisors.

Compensation: $70,000 to $ 75,000 per year dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.

Veterinary Assistant Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Full Veterinary Assistant Skill Utilization

* Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

* Coaching associates based on need to aid in their success

* Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance

* Provide feedback related to associate performance, and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plans

* Support associates in their careers via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and scheduling

* Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge

* Create/Manage/Oversee scheduling of treatment team, including veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians
