Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care - Travel - (NICU RN) – Provides intensive, comprehensive care for neonates in a Level III or Level IV NICU at Adventist Health Bakersfield.

Start Date:

3/16/2026, Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hrs/week, 12‑hour night shifts. Travel nursing position in Bakersfield, CA. Pay: $2014.00 – $2138.00 per shift.

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned neonates according to established standards.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff, coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Collect, analyze, and document patient data; develop and implement care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team; provide education.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuum of care.
• Delegate duties to healthcare team members and perform other duties as assigned.

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California – required.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent; CPR or HS‑BLS or RQIBLS – required.
• NICU experience – 2 years preferred.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN);
  Acute care facility experience.
• NICU SCL and NICU reference within a year; RTO upon submission.
• SSN and DOB required. 2 references within last 12 months required.
