Adventist Health Specialty Bakersfield, formerly Bakersfield Heart Hospital, is a 47‑bed acute care facility with three operating rooms and cardiac catheterization labs.

Job Summary: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the operating room, supervising staff and coordinating multidisciplinary care.

• Collects relevant patient data and performs assessment.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develops and implements care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinates care delivery, promotes safe environment.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and identifies goals.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Provides education to patients, families, and team members.
• Supports discharge planning.
• Delegates duties and coordinates team.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years as a registered nurse in an operating room; orthopedic, neuro‑spinal, and cardiovascular experience preferred; ability to scrub is desirable.
• Licenses: Active RN license in California (RN‑CA).
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support); CPR or other required.
• Additional: SSN, DOB, references available.
