Position

Summary

The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care during their assigned shift. This role provides clinical leadership, supervises nursing staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports the Director of Nursing in maintaining the highest standards of resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and care plans
  • Supervise and support LVNs and CNAs during assigned shift
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities
  • Accurately document resident assessments, care provided, and changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments per facility protocols
  • Respond to resident needs, emergencies, and family concerns professionally and promptly
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
