ResponsibilitiesThe APEX Beverage Equipment Operator will assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant. The ideal candidate will coordinate daily production needs with supervisors and inventory managers in loading/unloading trailers and production work, and assist in operating the Beverage Plant equipment.
- Monitor and log equipment values and parameters to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters.
- Track correct materials for all production requirements.
- Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing.
- Complete changeovers, CIP’s, PMs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform regular safety checks on equipment.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Maintain activity logs.
- Train new personnel on proper operational procedures.
- Support food safety, legality, and quality programs.
- Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven, reliable work history.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Pro‑active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions.
- Proven experience operating machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge of automated machines and tools.
- Ability to repair minor mechanical issues on machines and systems.
- Experience conducting quality tests and analyzing data.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
- One to two years’ experience as an Equipment Operator in a similar production environment preferred.
- Forklift certification.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in freezer and cold, wet or humid conditions.
- 1st Shift (6am – 2:30pm); overtime and weekends may be required.
