About the roleWe are seeking a senior, state-level leader to own and scale our California operations. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, this role will focus on growing and evolving our California market.
Responsibilities- Own full P&L responsibility for California, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Lead and oversee regional executives, sales managers, sales representatives, and field operations.
- Manage local construction efforts and coordinate closely with PMO and government affairs teams.
- Establish operational clarity and oversight across:
- Field operations managers
- Service and maintenance functions
- Sales leadership and execution
- Drive early-stage market activation, with an initial focus on launching and scaling priority California markets, followed by deeper market penetration and customer experience optimization.
- Serve as the executive point person for California, aligning cross-functional teams to deliver growth and operational excellence.
- Provide monthly executive-level updates on California’s overall performance, progress, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with Finance to develop and manage the California budget and ensure clear understanding of P&L ownership.
- Significant leadership experience in operations, general management, or regional/state-level roles.
- Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead teams in a growing or evolving organization.
- Comfortable operating across multiple functions, including operations, sales, construction, and customer-facing teams.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to balance strategy and execution in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
- Clear, executive-level communication skills and the ability to provide regular updates on performance and progress.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and adapt as the role and organization scale.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
