What You Will Do

In this vital role, you will serve as the connection to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals and assisting them in navigating the complex payer environment.

You will act as the primary customer contact, implementing marketing strategies and promoting Amgen products under the guidance of the District Manager.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products, effectively communicating clinical benefits to medical professionals to promote appropriate utilization.
• Achieve territory sales targets by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational events, through in-person and virtual engagement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with accounts, customizing discussions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining contracts.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategies, analyze sales effectiveness and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, learn, and grow professionally.
• Demonstrate passion for our products, uphold Amgen values, and focus on serving patients throughout the sales cycle.

What We Expect Of You

We value diverse contributions. The ideal candidate is motivated with the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience
• OR an Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience
• OR a High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, or medical device industries
• Pre-graduate sales training or proven leadership under pressure
• 3+ years experience as a Senior Specialty Representative
• Experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases
• Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of local markets
• Bachelor's in Life Sciences or Business Administration
• Adaptability and core sales competencies
