This is a full-time, on-site role in Bakersfield, CA for a Hospice Home Health Aide. The Hospice Home Health Aide will provide direct patient care, including personal care, assisting with mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and emotional support to patients and their families. The role includes following care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and communicating with the broader hospice care team to ensure the highest level of care and comfort.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively as part of a compassionate team to meet the needs of patients in their end-of-life journey.
- Experience in delivering personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and providing emotional support to patients
- Basic knowledge of hospice care principles and ability to adhere to care plans while maintaining patient comfort and dignity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the care team
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification or equivalent (as required by state regulations)
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a compassionate and professional manner
- A commitment to providing patient-centered care with attention to detail and empathy
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience in hospice or home health care is a plus but not required
