Join PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (PTA) at Compassionate Care Home Health located in California City, Rosamond, Boron. This role supports physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a qualified physical therapist.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait, functional and transfer training, and prosthetic training.
• Instruct patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes and orthotic devices.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition.
• Maintain necessary records; clinical and conference notes entered into the patient’s clinical record in prescribed time frames.
• Participate in home care team meetings and in‑service education programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program (Associate’s degree in science or applied science) approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• Current CPR certification.
• Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills.
