Our client is a 160+ bed acute care facility serving the Southern Sequoia region of the Central Valley. This state‑of‑the‑art medical center employs expert care teams and utilizes cutting‑edge technology, equipment, and facilities to bring the best possible care to their patients. Our client provides exceptional healthcare services to their patients and focuses on creating a comfortable, welcoming, and compassionate environment.
They currently have an opening for a leader to manage their hospital‑based SNF unit.
Under the general direction of the VP Patient Care Services and guidance of the Medical Director, the Director of DP/SNF is responsible for the overall operational and financial management of the department. The Director is a liaison between medical, nursing, and administrative staff, and is responsible for utilizing available resources to establish and maintain an integrated direction towards personalized, quality patient care.
Requirements- Must have 3‑6 years of experience in the Director of Nursing (DON) role in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Must have 2 years of nursing bedside clinical experience in a specialty area.
- Understands California CDPH and CMS rules and regulations.
- Has obtained or will obtain within 90 days a national certification in a related field, as determined by the VP.
- Holds a Master’s Degree in a healthcare‑related field (highly preferred).
- Member of at least one professional nursing organization.
- Must be action oriented and have a servant leadership skillset.
- Must be an authentic leader that engages employees positively and sets a positive work environment.
- Must work autonomously with minimal guidance on core DON responsibilities and meet deadlines and manage competing priorities from various stakeholders both within and outside the DP‑SNF Unit.
