We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency, and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification. This RN position is in our Inpatient units. The attention to detail and level of situational awareness required in the Inpatient Unit are paramount to patient outcomes. BBHH is a fast-paced environment that requires critical thinking, teamwork, and excellent communication between staff and patients. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to provide excellent care and join our Workplace Community to be the best hospital we can be.

• Demonstrate sound leadership skills and organize activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks on the unit
• Show caring, compassionate behavior with high-quality clinical and interpersonal skills to serve as an exemplary role model
• Display basic knowledge of treatment procedures; interventions for acute psychosis; and non-violent crisis intervention
• Possess basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the IST population and fluency in medical terminology in psychiatric care
• Have familiarity with psych and the use of psychotropic medications; capable of teaching/training; problem-solving
• Be organized with strong time management skills and crisis intervention abilities
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to facilitate or co-facilitate process-oriented and didactic groups

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Current California RN License
• Heart for helping others and commitment to our CARES values
• Current CPR certification (or obtain before start date; and cost covered by BBHH if needed)
• Handle-With-Care Physical Restraint Technique Training during orientation

  12-hour shifts from 6:00am to 6:30pm or 6:00pm to 6:30am
