We’re seeking a dedicated RN Unit Manager to oversee daily clinical operations of a fast-paced unit of short-term rehab patients. Support a talented care team and ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centered care.
The schedule for this role is Tuesday – Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the identified unit and ensure adherence to community standards and high-quality care, in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist the Director of Clinical Services in managing the clinical services department on the identified unit.
- Assess resident needs and develop comprehensive care plans; consult with residents’ physicians and update care plans as needed in an interdisciplinary manner.
- Develop discharge plans with the interdisciplinary team and assist in achieving timely discharge planning.
- Conduct resident rounds to supervise nursing care, assess resident condition, and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment; audit documentation and liaison with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
- Contribute to policy and procedure development for clinical services and provide recommendations to the Director of Clinical Services.
- Participate in associate evaluations and disciplinary actions as required.
- Ensure proper transition of nursing reports at shift changes and provide follow-up education related to medication errors as needed.
- Report occupational exposure incidents per community policy and maintain clean and sanitary work areas; monitor supplies and secure medication rooms/carts as required.
- Follow up on pharmacy recommendations and ensure changes are implemented.
- Attend staff meetings and continuing education in-service programs; participate in required committee meetings.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
- Minimum of one to three years of nursing service administration experience, with one year of management experience preferred.
- Additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements
- Current RN state nursing license in good standing with no actions on the license.
- CPR and First Aid certifications must be current.

- Interact with coworkers, residents or vendors
- Occasional weekend, evening, or night work to ensure shift coverage
- On-call as needed; potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, latex, chemicals, and infectious materials
- Occasional travel

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Role is eligible for team-based bonus opportunities. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs up to $725, for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year.
