PositionThis role is based in Lancaster, CA. The candidate must live within the area or be willing to relocate before the start date.
Responsibilities- Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for equipment they are qualified to safely and efficiently operate, including but not limited to the following systems and components:
- Power Electronics HEC
- Power Electronics HEC 1500V
- Power Electronics HEM
- AE 1000NX
- AE 500NX
- Eaton XPert 1670
- Ingecon Sun 1110TL U B400
- SMA 750CP
- SMA SC
- DC Combiner boxes
- Nex Tracker Tracker variants; ATI Trackers V2, V2.5, V3;
First Solar Tracker - High, Medium, and Low voltage switching
- Perform other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements
- Work independently and/or in work crews
- Possess a 2-year technical degree or equivalent
Journeyman qualifications - Three (3) or more years' experience as a PV O&M solar technician
- OR Five (5) or more years' experience in a power plant and one (1) or more years' experience in PV Solar O&M or construction
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid state theory
- Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities
- Proficient reading, writing and understanding of English
- Ability to excel in a collaborative, cross-functional and geographically diverse organization
- Strong professionalism, communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize complex analysis and support key decision makers
- Hands-on technical proficiency and ability to operate a PC with standard business software
- Working outside in normal plant and/or office environments, including working at heights and in areas with high/low temperatures and humidity
- Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to inspect or collect data
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear protection, etc.)
- May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment and hazardous materials/chemicals
- Occasionally may require lifting to perform duties
- Occasionally may be required to work overtime or non-standard hours; travel to sites outside the typical area

Salary details:
The expected salary for this position is between $35.00 and $42.08 per hour, with base pay varying by location, knowledge, skills and experience. The total compensation package may include bonuses and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and parental leave. Employment is at-will and base salary may be modified.
