Part‑time adjunct instructor position in the Social Science department. Applications accepted continuously and remain active for up to two years.

• Master’s in history
• or Bachelor’s in history and master’s in political science, humanities, geography, area studies, women’s studies, social science or ethnic studies
• or an equivalent combination of education, experience and accomplishments
• demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds

• Work effectively with colleagues in an innovative, inclusive environment
• Work with students of diverse skill levels and goals
• Develop curriculum in various modalities
• Participate in recruitment and articulation activities
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Maintain subject‑matter currency
• Assess student learning outcomes
• Use computers and new technologies
• Commit to the California community‑college mission
